Android उपयोगकर्ताओं पर Whatsapp फिंगरप्रिंट लॉक को सक्षम करने के लिए सेटिंग्स मेनू खोलने की आवश्यकता है फिर Account> Privacy> Fingerprint lock चुनें। अब फिंगरप्रिंट लॉक को सक्षम करने के लिए टॉगल बटन पर टैप करें और अपने फिंगरप्रिंट का उपयोग करके अपनी पहचान सत्यापित करें। ‘स्वचालित रूप से लॉक करें विकल्प चुनें और‘ तुरंत या तो १ मिनट या ३० मिनट बाद चुनें ’। फिर आप अधिसूचना पूर्वावलोकन चुनने के लिए अगला चुन सकते हैं।

IPhone उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए नए Whatsapp फीचर पर आगे बढ़ते हुए, अब नेटफ्लिक्स ट्रेलर्स PiP मोड पर उपलब्ध हैं। Whatsapp यूजर्स को पिक्चर-इन-पिक्चर (PiP) मोड के माध्यम से एप के भीतर वीडियो देखने की अनुमति देता है। यह केवल Facebook, YouTube और Instagram के लिए संभव है। नए फीचर से आईफोन यूजर्स नेटफ्लिक्स ट्रेलर्स को सीधे ऐप से साझा कर सकते हैं। यूजर्स को अब नेटफ्लिक्स का ट्रेलर देखने के लिए Whatsapp छोड़ने की जरूरत नहीं है। यह सुविधा हालांकि अभी तक केवल iPhones के लिए व्हाट्सएप पर उपलब्ध है।

Android और iOS के लिए व्हाट्सएप के नवीनतम बीटा अपडेट (WABetaInfo के माध्यम से) बहुप्रतीक्षित अंधेरे मोड के लिए अधिक विकास दिखाते हैं। अभी तक सार्वजनिक बीटा उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए उपलब्ध नहीं है, Whatsapp डार्क मोड धीरे-धीरे हर नए अपडेट के साथ आकार ले रहा है। Whatsapp ने अब स्प्लैश स्क्रीन को डार्क मोड में सक्षम किया है। Whatsapp पर लॉक आइकन को डार्क मोड के लिए भी अपडेट किया गया है। WhatsApp अपने iPhone ऐप के लिए दो Dark Theme पर भी काम कर रहा है। Whatsapp पर कलर की शेड के अनुसार डार्क थीम बदलती हैं। Whatsapp डार्क मोड यूजर्स के लिए कब उपलब्ध होगा इस पर अभी भी कोई शब्द नहीं है।
